阿卜杜拉大官邸 is a distinguished professor of information sciences and technology at 宾州州立银行. Dr. Konak also teaches graduate courses at the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations program at the College of Information Sciences and Technology.

Dr. Konak received the bachelor of science in Industrial Engineering from Yildiz Technical University, 伊斯坦布尔, Turkey; the master of science in Industrial Engineering from Bradley University, 皮奥瑞亚, Illinois; and the Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from 美国niversity of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, 宾西法尼亚.

Prior to his time at Penn State, Dr. Konak taught at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. He also has held visiting positions at Lehigh University and Cornell University, as well as at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he taught engineering innovation for over a decade.

Dr. Konak’s primary research interest is in the modeling, 分析, optimization of complex systems using computational intelligence combined with techniques from probability, 统计数据, operations research. His research also involves active learning, entrepreneurship education, the innovation mindset. He has published numerous academic papers in leading journals, such as Operations 研究 Letters, Informs Journal on 计算European Journal of Operations 研究, on a broad range of topics including network design, reliable system design, 网络安全, 设施设计, 绿色物流, production management, 数据科学. He has been a principal investigator in sponsored projects from the National Science Foundation, the National Security Agency, 美国.S. Department of Labor, Venture Well.

Dr. Konak currently teaches courses on database management systems, 数据挖掘, artificial intelligence, 网络安全, agent-based modeling, entrepreneurship. He is a member of INFORMS and IEEE.
